Preventing osteoporosis (porous bones)

GH treatment is used to stimulate bone growth in children with growth hormone

deficiency. Results in adults is less consistent. Dr. Daniel Rudman in his studies that

use more veiled found that treatment with GH for six months increased bone density in

the spine by 1.6% in men older than 65 years, but the thigh bone of the arm or leg not

improved. Some groups reported an increase in bone density.
